Varying ways to affect spells

Four Thieves’ Vinegar

Four Thieves’ Vinegar
-Empty Bottle or Jar
-Apple Cider Vinegar
-Lavender
-Garlic
-Sage
-Peppermint
-Rosemary
-Thyme
-Black Pepper

Add all of the herbs into an empty jar and fill to the top with apple cider vinegar. Shake thoroughly. Store in a cool dry place, shaking daily for 3-5 weeks, then strain and rebottle.
This is useful for protection, cleansing and healing.

Wolf's Bane

Wolf’s bane

Wolf’s bane is a poison and because of this it is extreamly useful in sympathetic magic, particularly in curses. Using a “elf’s bolt” off sharpened flint, dipped in Wolf’s Bane, one can stab a poppet of the intended victim.
*While I am not Wiccan, I advise against cursing people unless you have no other option, due to the fact that they could in turn curse you.

Wolf’s Bane is associated with the Greek Titan Hecate, as well as the planets Saturn and Mars.

Herbal Magic Introduction

Herbal Magic is pretty much what it sounds like. It is magic that utilizes herbs and their properties to gain a desired result. Here I will list a few of the most common herbs used in my personal BoS, and then daily will post about one new herb. Most of the herbs I use are for either protection or for sleep, as I suffer from chronic insomnia.
Herbs I commonly use include:

Lavender- useful for aiding sleep, also helps gain long life and wishes. It is also a protection herb (as are many other of my most commonly used).

Chamomile- another sleep aid, its also useful for money spells, gaining peace and tranquility, and purification

Sage- Protection and purification. Its a staple in many witches cabinets. It is also said to be able to be used in immortality rituals, and help grant wishes

Bay Leaves- another one that helps with protection. Bay leaves also help in divination and to inhance psychic powers.

Peppermint- Another protection and sleep aid. It is also used in love and passion spells, and for increasing psychic abilities.

Valerian- it is a powerful sleep aid. It is actually used in many over the counter sleep aids in Germany. It is also a calming herb despite its smell.

and last but not least

Lobelia- it is a heavy sedadtive and can be used in chaos magic.

Like I said these are only the herbs I most commonly use. All are actually ingredients in a spray i make to help me sleep. I will post a "Herb of the Day" everyday, starting tommorow with Wolfbane and will go into more details with these herbs when I reach them.

Summon A Storm (Not my original spell)

SUMMON A STORM SPELL.
Incense (if incense isn’t an option you can do without), a white, grey or black candle, water (preferably from a storm or rain), salt, a bowl/small jar
Optional to make the spell stronger: Chili powder, ginger, snake skin, blood, jasmine, pictures of a storm.
(Optional) carve lightning bolts into your candles
Light your candles and focus on a clear sky turning grey
Light the incense and focus an winds blowing
Pour your rain water in the bowl and focus on it the water falling from the sky.
Take your salt and put three pinches into the water and picture the salt being the ocean water sweep up by a storm.
Hoover your hand over the water and picture that same grey sky, picture lighting and thunder. Picture the rain all falling down at once.
Take your candle and drip wax into your bowl, the wax should float on top, alow the wax to build up and focus on the clouds building up. As you do so say “this is the clouds that cover our skys” three times (or until you feel like its enough)
Take your incense and blow the smoke into the bowl and say “this is the wind that blows on our land” three times. Picture wind blowing as hard as you can, (you can picture a tornado if you’d like)
Sprinkle more rain water on top of the wax and say “this is the rain that falls from our sky and coats our crops” as many times as you feel like.
Now take your candle and put it out in the bowl (by wetting the wick) listen to the sizzle and say “this is the thunder and lightning that will grace our sky”
Focus every drop of energy you can squeeze out leaving your body and entering the bowl.
When the spell is done toss the water outside, you can keep the wax for future storm spells if you’d like but you can toss it too.
This is a potent ass spell, you should feel really drained and tired afterwards. Personally whenever I do this spell I spend the rest of the day passed the fuck out.

The Elder Futhark introductionit rep

The Elder Futhark is a group of 24 runes, used for writing, divination and magic in Norse traditions. Often times you till see the divided into three groups, each one called an Ætt.

The first
Ætt, is known as Freyr's or Freyja's Ætt. In consists of the following 8 runes.

Fehu: fehu represents the letter F. it is also symbolic of wealth and domesticated cattle, which were also a symbol of having wealth in ancient Germanic civilizations.

Uruz: Uruz represents the letter U. It is symbolic of an Auroch, which were wild oxen that eventually became the cattle that Germanic societies relied heavily on. Therefore Uruz also represents untamed strength and potential

Thurisaz: Thurisaz represents the letters TH together (like th as in the) and is the rune of Thor. Its also symbolic of Giants (Thor was son of a Giant) and thorns. It can symbolize male sexuality and change in seemingly destructive ways.

Ansuz: Ansuz represents the letter A as well as the ancestral gods, specifically Odin. So its not surprise that Ansuz also symbolizes power and enthusiasm.

Raidho: Raidho represents the letter R as well as wagon and chariots. It symbolizes taveling and a journey

Kenaz: Kenaz represents C or K as well as being symbolic of creativity and passion.

(These first 6 runes is where we get the term Futhark from)

Gebo: Gebo represents G and is also the rune of gifts. It may be a sacrificial gift or a gift of generosity.

Wunjo: Wunjo represents W or V. If Wunjo is pulled one can expect a great deal of joy in the near future as well as feelings of ecstasy.

The next Ætt is known as Heimdall's Ætt

Hagalaz: Hagalaz represents H. It is also a rune that may seem negative. It represents wrath of nature and trials, but its through these things we can grow.

Nauthiz: Nauthiz represents N. It also is another rune that can symbolize growth through struggle. This rune tells us to face our fears, however distressing they may be.

Isa: Isa represent I. it also symbolizes a standstill and psychological barriers, like grief for example.

Jera: Jera is represents J or Y. It represents good harvests and the cycles related to nature and life.

Eihwaz: Eihwas represents EI as a combo of letters. it represents strength and trustworthiness

Perthro: Perthro represents the letter P. It is symbolic of all sorts of mysteries. Including those related to female sexuality.

Algiz: Algiz represents the letter Z or  -R, its a protection rune and symbolizes the urge to protect many of us possess.

Sowilo:  Sowilo represents the letter S. It symbolizes success, health and honor.

The final Ætt is Tyr's Ætt

Tiwas: Tiwas represents the letter T and is symbolic of justice, honor and leadership.

Berkano: Berkano represents the letter B. It is symbolic of birth, motherhood, fertility and personal growth.

Ehwaz: Ehwas represents the letter E. It is symbolic of transportation and a gradual move forward.

Mannaz: Mannaz represents the letter M and symbolizes the individual or the human race.

Laguz: Laguz represents the letter L. It also is symbolic of water, a source of fertility and a source of healing potential.

Ingwaz: Ingwaz represents the letters NG. It is a symbol of male fertility, gestation, family love and the home.

Dagaz: Dagaz represents the letter D and symbolizes a breakthrough, awareness or awakening.

Othala: Othala is the final rune, and it represents the letter O. It is symbolic of inherited property and what is important to someone.

These are by no means the only meanings of these runes. These are the meanings I have written down in my personal BoS, and all information and pictures originated from Sunnyway.com so give that site a visit to learn more. Introduction to Witchcraft

Most people have pre-conceived ideas on what it means to be a witch. It’s usually the standard: a satanic woman who is ugly and weird. Virgin sacrifices may or may not be included. But I’d like to take a minute and say that is very wrong.
That’s not to say that their aren’t satanic practitioners of the craft, or that everyone who practices witchcraft is conventionally beautiful, or that every witch is “normal”.  What I mean, though, is that a witch can be a follower of any religion or even be atheist! Working with magick is a way we try to control the energies of the world to create change in the world. Whether its for healing, or to gain a little extra income, magick can help us in many ways. It can be  religion and ritual oriented or can be simpler, but more on that later.
Another common misconception though, is that magick is easy.  Magick, no matter what its form, takes a lot of studying and practice. For example, herbal magic is not something you’d just want to jump into. You need to study herbs and their properties first, not only so you can see what herbs can help with what you intend to accomplish, but also so you don’t poison yourself! Still, as long as you are committed to studying and do not expect instant gratification, magick is a great tool.
There are many different types of magic. If you look into different religions, most have their specific type (or types) of magic. There are types of magick which rely on vocal vibrations of certain words or runes to achieve the desired results. There are types on magick that rely on different colors. In folk magick it can be as simple as banging pans to rid your home of ghosts. The best type of magick is what ever feels comfortable to the witch. I personally try to be a jack of all trades and a master of some. What path you decide to take as a witch is completely up to you, be creative! Practice a mixture of different paths, or stick to one. When you find what works best for you, I can almost guarantee you will start to notice changes in your life.
Another great tool is a Book Of Shadows. Some witches use them as dream journals, spell books, a reference guide for magickal correspondences, or as a place to jot notes on how their spells turned out. Some people use them as a go to book for everything! I personally like to over organize and have many different books for everything you can think of. I even save tons of many by making my own journals! I’ll write a post on how to do that (with a link to a youtube video) in the near future. A book of shadows is yours to do with what you want, decorate how you want, and share with who you want.
So,  what would you like me to cover first?
I will write about anything magick or Pagan related:
  •  Myths
  • Divination
  • Herbal Magick
  • Anything!
